Palforzia is a REMS-Restricted Medication
Palforzia (peanut [Arachis hypogaea] allergen powder) is an FDA-approved oral immunotherapy used to reduce allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis, that can occur with accidental peanut exposure. Because it carries a risk of anaphylaxis, Palforzia is only available through the FDA-required Palforzia REMS (Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy) program.
That means it is prescribed by certified healthcare providers and dispensed only through REMS-enrolled specialty pharmacies, and the first dose and each dose increase are given under medical supervision. It is not a routine retail-pharmacy product.
For this reason, Rx.com does not offer a price comparison, discount card, coupon, home delivery, or pharmacy pickup for Palforzia. Please do not treat it as a standard retail or discount-card medication.
How to get Palforzia
Talk with a board-certified allergist or immunologist about whether Palforzia is right for you or your child. Your provider can enroll you in the Palforzia REMS program and coordinate treatment through a certified pharmacy.
