¿Qué es Edaravone?
Edaravona es un eliminador de radicales libres utilizado en el tratamiento de la esclerosis lateral amiotrófica (ELA) para ayudar a mitigar el estrés oxidativo, que se cree que juega un papel en la degeneración de las neuronas motoras. Al reducir el daño oxidativo a las células nerviosas, la edaravona puede ralentizar la progresión de la enfermedad en algunos pacientes. Warnings
- Edaravone should be administered under the supervision of a healthcare professional experienced in the treatment of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
- Use with caution in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to edaravone or any of its ingredients.
- Monitor liver function regularly as edaravone may cause liver impairment.
- Patients with asthma or a history of severe allergic reactions should be closely monitored.
- Appropriate measures for the management of hypersensitivity and anaphylactic reactions should be available during administration.
