What is Infasurf?
Infasurf (calfactant) is a pulmonary surfactant used in the prevention and treatment of respiratory distress syndrome (RDS) in premature infants. It works by reducing the surface tension within the lungs, thereby enhancing lung expansion and oxygen exchange. Infasurf is administered directly into the trachea and is typically used in neonatal intensive care units.Side Effects
