Pataday is an ophthalmic antihistamine solution containing olopatadine, used to relieve symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis such as itching and redness in the eyes. The solution works by blocking the action of histamines, chemicals in the body that cause allergy symptoms. Warnings
- Not for use in patients with known hypersensitivity to any component of the product
- Use caution when driving or operating machinery until you know how the medication affects you
- Remove contact lenses prior to application and wait at least 10 minutes before reinserting
- Do not use if the solution changes color or becomes cloudy
- Contact a doctor if experiencing signs of an allergic reaction like rash, itching, or severe dizziness
