Tiglutik es una formulación de medicamento de riluzol, utilizada para el tratamiento de la esclerosis lateral amiotrófica (ELA). Viene en forma de suspensión oral, lo que permite una administración y deglución más fáciles, especialmente beneficioso para pacientes con dificultad para tragar pastillas. Al trabajar para disminuir la liberación de glutamato, Tiglutik ayuda a ralentizar la progresión de la ELA y a prolongar la supervivencia o el tiempo hasta que sea necesario realizar una traqueostomía.Side Effects
- Cough, trouble breathing
- Dark urine or pale stools, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, stomach pain, yellow skin or eyes
- Fever, chills, cough, sore throat, body aches
Warnings
- Your doctor will do lab tests at regular visits to check on the effects of this medicine. Keep all appointments.
- This medicine lowers the number of white blood cells. This weakens your immune system, so you may get infections more easily. Wash your hands often. Avoid people who are sick.
- Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have liver disease or lung or breathing problems. Tell your doctor if you have Japanese ancestry.
- This medicine may cause the following problems:Liver problemsLung problems (including interstitial lung disease)
- Keep all medicine out of the reach of children. Never share your medicine with anyone.
