What is Aggrastat?
Aggrastat (tirofiban) is an antiplatelet medication primarily used to treat acute coronary syndrome and to manage unstable angina or non-ST elevation myocardial infarction. It functions by inhibiting platelet aggregation, thus preventing thrombus formation, which can significantly reduce the risk of arterial occlusion. Aggrastat is typically administered intravenously in a hospital setting under close medical supervision.Side Effects

- Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
- Red or dark brown urine, or red or black stools
