What is Edaravone ?

Edaravone is a free radical scavenger used in the treatment of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) to help mitigate oxidative stress, which is believed to play a role in the degeneration of motor neurons. By reducing the oxidative damage to nerve cells, edaravone may slow the progression of the disease in some patients. It is administered intravenously, with treatment cycles consisting of both dosing and drug-free periods.
