What is Edaravone?
Edaravone is a free radical scavenger used in the treatment of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) to help mitigate oxidative stress, which is believed to play a role in the degeneration of motor neurons. By reducing the oxidative damage to nerve cells, edaravone may slow the progression of the disease in some patients.
