What is Estradiol Cypionate ?

Estradiol Cypionate is a synthetic estrogenic hormone used primarily in hormone replacement therapy for menopausal symptoms and as a component of feminizing hormone therapy for transgender women. Administered via intramusculcar injection, it functions by replenishing estrogen levels, helping to alleviate symptoms such as hot flashes, osteoporosis, and estrogen deficiency.

• Swelling of ankles or feet (fluid retention)
• Weight change
• Abdominal pain
• Mood swings
• Redness or irritation at the injection site

• Increased risk of developing endometrial cancer
• May increase the risk of cardiovascular disorders such as heart attacks, stroke, and blood clots
• Not recommended for use during pregnancy
• Patients with liver disease, breast cancer, or a history of blood clots should not use this medication
• Can affect blood sugar levels; patients with diabetes should monitor blood sugar closely
• May cause dark skin patches (melasma)
• Extended use can increase the risk of osteoporosis if not used in conjunction with progestin in postmenopausal women
