What is Letairis?
Ambrisentan is an endothelin receptor antagonist used in the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) to improve exercise capacity and delay clinical worsening. By selectively blocking endothelin type-A receptors, ambrisentan reduces pulmonary vascular resistance, leading to decreased blood pressure in the pulmonary arteries. It is administered orally and requires careful monitoring due to potential liver toxicity and teratogenic effects.Side Effects
