Pregabalin ER (Extended Release) is a medication primarily used to manage neuropathic pain associated with conditions such as diabetic peripheral neuropathy and postherpetic neuralgia. It acts by modulating calcium channel activity in the central nervous system, which helps to decrease the release of certain neurotransmitters involved in amplifying pain. Additionally, Pregabalin ER may also be prescribed for managing generalized anxiety disorder and as an adjunctive therapy for partial-onset seizures in adults.
