What is Topicaine 5 ?

Topicaine 5 is a topical anesthetic gel that contains 5% lidocaine, specifically formulated to provide temporary relief of local discomfort, pain, and itching associated with minor burns, cuts, or skin irritations. It is preferred for its non-oily consistency and its efficacy in numbing the skin before minor dermatological procedures, enhancing patient comfort.

• Tremor or seizures
• Confusion, dizziness, drowsiness, lightheadedness
• Blurred or double vision
• Slow, fast, or uneven heartbeat
• Troubled or shallow breathing, trouble swallowing
• Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
• Pale, gray, or blue lips, nails, or skin, dark urine, headache, unusual tiredness or weakness

• Your doctor will do lab tests at regular visits to check on the effects of this medicine. Keep all appointments.
• Do not use a heating pad, electric blanket, or any other heat source over the patch. However, you may apply Ztlido® patch on the skin after exposure to a moderate heat setting.
• Call your doctor if your symptoms do not improve or if they get worse.
• Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have kidney disease, liver disease, heart problems, lung or breathing problems, porphyria (enzyme problem), a blood disorder, G6PD, or epilepsy.
• This medicine may cause methemoglobinemia (blood disorder).
• Do not give lidocaine solution to a child younger than 3 years of age for teething pain, unless your doctor says it is okay.
• Keep all medicine out of the reach of children. Never share your medicine with anyone.
