What is Tropicamide-Phenylephrine ?

Tropicamide-Phenylephrine is a combination ophthalmic solution used to dilate the pupil and temporarily paralyze the lens (cycloplegia) for diagnostic procedures, such as an eye examination. Tropicamide acts as a muscarinic antagonist, while Phenylephrine is a sympathomimetic that further helps in pupil dilation by contracting the dilator muscle of the iris.
