¿Qué es Levalbuterol Hcl?

Levalbuterol HCl, también conocido como Levosalbutamol, es un medicamento broncodilatador utilizado principalmente para tratar y prevenir el broncoespasmo en condiciones como el asma o la enfermedad pulmonar obstructiva crónica (EPOC). Funciona relajando los músculos de las vías respiratorias, mejorando así el flujo de aire y facilitando la respiración. El Levalbuterol está disponible en formas como inhaladores y soluciones para nebulizar, y a menudo se prescribe cuando es necesario un alivio rápido y a corto plazo de los síntomas.

Side Effects

• Chest pain, fast, pounding, or uneven heartbeat
• Dry mouth, increased thirst, muscle cramps, nausea, vomiting
• Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing

Warnings

• Keep all medicine out of the reach of children. Never share your medicine with anyone.
• This medicine may cause increased trouble breathing (paradoxical bronchospasm), which may be life-threatening.
• Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have kidney disease, diabetes, heart disease, heart rhythm problems, high blood pressure, thyroid problems, or seizures.
• Inhalation routeIf any of your asthma medicines do not seem to be working as well as usual, call your doctor right away. Do not change your doses or stop using your medicines without asking your doctor.
• Inhalation routeIf you use a corticosteroid medicine to control your asthma, keep using it as instructed by your doctor.
