¿Qué es Niacin Er (Antihyperlipidemic)?

Niacina ER (liberación prolongada), científicamente conocida como ácido nicotínico, es un medicamento antihiperlipidémico utilizado para controlar los niveles de colesterol. Reduce efectivamente el LDL (colesterol malo) y los triglicéridos, mientras aumenta el HDL (colesterol bueno) mediante la inhibición de la síntesis hepática de colesterol VLDL. La Niacina ER generalmente se prescribe en casos donde los cambios dietéticos por sí solos han sido insuficientes para corregir los niveles de lípidos.
