- may increase blood pressure – monitor blood pressure regularly
- not recommended for use in patients with uncontrolled hypertension
- may cause urinary retention - use with caution in patients with bladder outflow obstruction
- potential risk of angioedema - discontinue immediately and seek emergency help if symptoms occur
- use caution when administering to patients with severe kidney or liver impairment
