A Skyrizi Pen coupon from Rx.com can lower your cash price on the Skyrizi (risankizumab-rzaa) 150 mg/mL single-dose prefilled pen, used for plaque psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis in adults and in patients 6 years and older who weigh at least 40 kg. Skyrizi is a brand-only biologic with no generic or biosimilar on the US market, so what you pay is the brand price, and that price varies from pharmacy to pharmacy. Enter your ZIP above to see today's price at pharmacies near you, then show the coupon at the counter. This is a cash-price discount, not insurance, and you can use it whether you are uninsured, on Medicare, or simply comparing options.
What is the Skyrizi Pen and how does it work?
Skyrizi is risankizumab-rzaa, a humanized IgG1 monoclonal antibody biologic that works as an interleukin-23 (IL-23) antagonist. IL-23 is a signaling protein involved in the inflammation behind psoriasis and related immune-mediated conditions. By blocking it, Skyrizi is intended to calm that inflammatory signal. Because it is a biologic that suppresses part of the immune system, it is also classified as an immunosuppressant and a biologic DMARD.
The Skyrizi Pen specifically is the 150 mg/mL single-dose prefilled pen used for subcutaneous dosing. There is no separate induction product for these uses: the same 150 mg pen delivers the week 0 and week 4 starter doses and every dose after that. Per the FDA label, for moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis and for active psoriatic arthritis, the schedule is 150 mg at week 0, again at week 4, then every 12 weeks after that.
Dosing depends on weight in patients under 18. The 150 mg dose this pen delivers is for adults and for pediatric patients 6 years and older who weigh 40 kg or more. Pediatric patients who weigh less than 40 kg are dosed at 55 mg, which is supplied as a 55 mg/0.37 mL single-dose prefilled syringe, not as a pen. If you are a caregiver for a child under 40 kg, this pen is not their product, and you should confirm the right dose and device with your prescriber and pharmacist.
Skyrizi is also FDA-approved for moderately to severely active Crohn's disease and moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis in adults, but those uses start with IV induction and then use 180 mg or 360 mg on-body injector cartridges, not this 150 mg pen. So the indications this page's pen actually covers are moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis in patients who are candidates for systemic therapy or phototherapy, and active psoriatic arthritis, in adults and in patients 6 years and older weighing at least 40 kg.
Skyrizi savings card vs. an Rx.com cash coupon
AbbVie runs an official savings program for Skyrizi through Skyrizi Complete, described on the manufacturer's own website. Manufacturer copay cards like this are generally limited to people with commercial (employer or marketplace) insurance, and they typically exclude anyone with Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE, or other government coverage. Terms, eligibility, and any limits vary and change over time, so check the manufacturer's site directly for the current rules. AbbVie also offers patient assistance for people who qualify based on income and insurance status, which is worth asking your prescriber's office or the Skyrizi Complete program about if the copay card is not an option for you.
The Rx.com coupon is different: it is a cash-price discount that does not run through insurance and does not depend on what kind of coverage you have. That makes it useful if you are uninsured, if you are on Medicare and therefore shut out of the manufacturer card, or if the card is declined at the pharmacy. You cannot combine a cash coupon with your insurance benefit on the same fill, so it is worth comparing both. Prices for the same pen differ between pharmacies, so enter your ZIP above to see today's price near you before you decide.
Is there a generic Skyrizi, and what else is out there?
There is no generic and no biosimilar version of Skyrizi available in the United States. Biologics like this are copied by biosimilars rather than traditional generics, and none has reached the US market for risankizumab-rzaa. That means the usual big savings lever, switching to a generic, is not available here, and comparing pharmacy cash prices plus checking manufacturer programs are the main ways to bring the cost down.
Other drugs are used for overlapping conditions, and only your prescriber can say whether any of them fits your situation. Depending on the diagnosis, these may come up in a conversation about options. Other biologics include Skyrizi in its other presentations, Humira (adalimumab), Stelara (ustekinumab), Tremfya (guselkumab), Cosentyx (secukinumab), and Taltz (ixekizumab). Rinvoq (upadacitinib) is sometimes discussed for these conditions too, but it is not a biologic: it is an oral small-molecule JAK inhibitor, and unlike the biologics above it carries a boxed warning, so it is a meaningfully different kind of decision. None of these are interchangeable with each other, they have different labels and different approved uses, and switching is a medical decision, not a shopping decision. Never stop or swap a biologic on your own.
Safety information you should know
Skyrizi does not carry a boxed warning. The FDA label does describe several important risks. Serious hypersensitivity reactions, including anaphylaxis, can occur, and Skyrizi is contraindicated in anyone with a prior serious hypersensitivity reaction to risankizumab-rzaa or to any of its ingredients. Because it suppresses part of the immune system, it can increase your risk of infection; it should not be started during a clinically important active infection, and your prescriber will weigh the risks and benefits if you have chronic or recurrent infections. Tuberculosis matters here: you should be evaluated for TB before starting, Skyrizi should not be given to someone with active TB, and latent TB should be treated first. The label also describes hepatotoxicity, including drug-induced liver injury, with liver enzyme and bilirubin testing at baseline and during at least the first 12 weeks of treatment, only for the Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis uses; that hepatotoxicity warning and its monitoring instruction are specific to those inflammatory bowel disease indications, not to the psoriasis or psoriatic arthritis uses this pen covers. Live vaccines should be avoided during treatment.
The most common side effects reported are upper respiratory infections, headache, fatigue, injection site reactions, and tinea (fungal) infections. This page is a summary, not medical advice, and it does not replace the full FDA label. Talk with your doctor or pharmacist about your own health history, your vaccines, and any signs of infection before and during treatment.
